Opened in 1969 Monty's Raw Bar has grown through the years to become one of Miami's most well known and respected restaurants. Our iconic location has served as the backdrop for TV series, music videos and movies including Miami Vice, Burn Notice and Marley & Me.
Monty Trainer
Being a Key West native Monty wanted to bring a taste of the Key's to Coconut Grove. Two years after graduating from the University of Florida he opened "Monty's Conch", a small breakfast nook and gas station. In time Monty opened restaurants in Boca Raton, Orlando, Atlanta and Key West. He sold his rights to "Monty's" but his legacy is still very much alive with our raw bar and the Coconut Grove Arts Festival which he founded and is now in it's 54th year.
Happy Hour Raw Bar
Our famous raw bar boat is open throughout happy hour featuring Appalachian Oysters, Fresh Clams, Peel & Eat Shrimp and Stone Crabs delivered directly from our fishermen in the Florida Key's. Jonah Stone Crab Claws are served in the off season from May 16th thru October 14th, flown directly from Boston's Foley Fish Company.
Live Music
Playing of mix of Caribbean music and Popular Hits our musicians help you relax and enjoy your time by the water. Dance the night away on Friday, Saturday and Sunday on our dance floor with the band and DJ all evening. Look forward to Open Mic night, featuring local musicians on Monday nights.

Recently renovated, this private dining room boasts beautiful views to the front of the marina and is lined with floor to ceiling windows! It has a full bar located inside of the room, and the floor plan can be designed to fit any style. This venue easily accommodates a live music, DJ, wireless microphones and offers Smart TVs to use for videos, or presentations.

For the true Miami meets the Florida Keys experience, our outside Tiki Hut is the perfect spot for your event. The Tiki roof shelters you from the sun and rain, while the fans keep you cool with a nice breeze, perfect for Key West casual attire. For the ultimate Miami event by the water experience, our Premium Waterfront venue is the location for you. Offering waterfront drinking and dining, it is our most premium and sought after. Bringing fishing back to Coconut Grove, Monty's is the perfect place to host your next fishing tournament! Prime Marina, formerly known as Bayshore Landing, is newly renovated and can accommodate boats of all sizes! Welcome your anglers with fresh cold drinks dockside and watch the fish get weighed in!
